Wild Onion Cooking

So, here is the supper, made almost by wild onions. We set our handmade foldable table in porch to enjoy nice spring night.

Wild onion simmered with soy sauce and fish broth, with starch potato jelly 

Korean style pan cake with wild onion and carrot

Fresh wild onion bulbs, with miso paste

Boiled wild onion with miso&vinegar sauce

Like John said, most of them were little bit chewy, especially leaves and bigger bulbs were. Although, small&young bulbs were soft and yummy. After cooked, oniony-garlicy smell gets much weaker. Well, it was fun experience for sure :-)

  3. So I tried to comment and realized i was logged in as Josh instead of me, so I tried to delete it... Anyways what I was trying to say is the meal outside sounds lovely, but I'm not sure about all the wild onions. I sure hope you had a lot of breath mints for dessert. :-)

    Yeah, it ended up that we figured out the smell is much stronger than garlic :-D Tee hee hee. I recommend it for weekend when you are not seeing anybody.
